“There is a genuine risk of confidential business information being stolen”, says Michel Corbeau, managing director of Nemag. “Our sales representatives also travel all over the world and need to be able to access all our information using their laptops.”

When unusual activity was detected, SBL contacted Nemag’s IT provider immediately. “When something highly unusual happens, they ask: ‘Is this something significant, and what should we do about it?’” says Leo Melse.
Periodic security scans are also carried out. “We arrange a comprehensive scan from time to time. It always produces new action points”, Leo explains. These actions have helped Nemag make continuous improvements and stay ahead of potential threats.
Timely intervention against cyber threats
“We are extremely satisfied with the collaboration. We believe we are much better protected than we were before”, says Leo Melse. SBL’s proactive approach enabled Nemag to respond quickly to incidents, including an occasion when a colleague’s credentials were compromised.
Nemag can also meet the requirements of major customers more easily. Leo explains: “Large customers ask to review our security policy because they need assurance regarding business continuity. We can now meet those requirements easily.”
SBL’s cost structure was transparent and manageable. “We simply want to be properly protected instead of having to choose between numerous packages with complicated terms and conditions. That is exactly what we wanted to avoid”, Michel says. SBL ensured that Nemag was not burdened with unnecessary costs and subscriptions.
